Parents Warn of HPV Vaccine Dangers

Despite thousands of young girls’ accounts of severe side effects from Gardasil injections, the manufacturer, Merck & Co, Inc., continues to make and sell the vaccine, which is supposed to protect against cervical cancer. Now the girls’ parents warn about the vaccine on their own websites.

According to Natural News Magazine, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Gardasil for the American market in 2006, and by February 2009, more than 40 million doses had been distributed worldwide.

Gardasil is a vaccine that’s supposed to prevent cervical cancer caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV). The virus spreads through sexual intercourse or skin contact.

Theresa E was floored when she got a phone call from VAERS, the FDA’s vaccine adverse event reporting system. Yes, the caller said, investigators did indeed feel that Theresa’s daughter’s seizures could be a serious reaction to Merck’s anti-HPV vaccine, Gardasil.

Although Theresa had had a hunch that her daughter’s intermittent seizures could have been triggered by the Gardasil vaccine, doctors completely pooh-poohed the idea.

But eventually, encouraged by information from Nina Kenney, whose daughter had also begun suffering seizures post-vaccine, she insisted on filing a VAERS report. Her doctor had for months been “too busy” to get around to the paperwork, she said, “and when I took the almost-completed form to him to finish he was a little shocked that I was serious.”

Italian researchers have discovered that the influenza vaccine does NOT reduce risk of severe complications from influenza viral infections that result in hospital death, influenza or pneumonia admission among the elderly population.

The finding came after Manzoli L. and colleagues from the University G. d’Annunzio of Chieti in Italy examined data from 32,457 elderly people, of whom 66.2 percent received the influenza vaccine.

According to a recent review, almost all flu vaccine trials, with the exception of one out of 49 of said trials, have not compared the incidence of flu in the vaccinated population with that in those unvaccinated.

Rather, subjects who received flu shots in influenza vaccine trials were only tested for antigens which were produced in response to flu vaccine. When a flu vaccine generated certain levels of antigens as defined by researchers, the vaccine maker claimed that the flu vaccine worked to prevent flu.

NCI awards $13.5 million HPV testing contract to Dutch Diagnostic Lab: What’s wrong with this picture?

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) announced on August 2, 2010 that it has awarded a $13.5 million contract to a Dutch diagnostic laboratory to perform reliable human papillomavirus (HPV) genotyping using a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) system with short target sequences for the cervical biopsy samples collected at the NCI.

Such reliable HPV genotyping technology was not used by the drug manufacturers in validating the efficacy of the genotype-specific HPV vaccines during the clinical trials required for Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval, and has been rejected by the FDA for commercial distribution to clinical laboratories in the U.S. for general patient care.

This NCI contract confirms that the current FDA-approved HPV test kits for patient care in the U.S. are not reliable.

According to the pre-solicitation notice, HPV infections are very common in sexually active women and only a small subset progress to cervical cancer. When precancerous lesions appear, they may contain multiple types of HPV. It is difficult with the currently available FDA-approved HPV tests to determine whether the HPV strains present are responsible for causing the lesions, or simply there as a passenger.
