My daughter, Alisa Duckworth, became dramatically disabled from the Gardasil vaccine series. She is such a loving, caring, and compassionate person, that she has made it her mission to knit hats to help the other victims of the vaccine. She has even shipped internationally.
Knitting
The story begins during her first paralysis; I would sit by her hospital bed and knit for hours – just knitting without being aware of the time. I finished the first hat and put it on Alisa. She wore it her entire stay in the hospital. She called it her security hat.
I taught Alisa how to knit a few years ago to help keep her mind off the intense pain. She struggled to learn, as the pain would take away her concentration. It was extremely frustrating, but she was determined. Soon she got into the rhythm of the stitches and knitting became easy for her. She would focus on the project she was working on and found it very relaxing.
Pay it Forward
Alisa has taken her knitting and is now “paying it forward”, so they say. She finds that knitting helps with her pain control. She knows how her security hat made her feel better and is now knitting hats for the others injured from the vaccine. She finds comfort in making them a hat in a pattern and color of their choice. She then mails out the hats to them.

With her medical care bills already out of control, I found it was getting really expensive to buy the yarn and pay for the shipping too. I spoke to her about options so she could continue knitting for the injured and knitting for her pain control. We came to the conclusion of using her Allie Designs on Facebook. She sells her hats to customers and uses the money to purchase more yarn. We also have a PayPal account where she accepts donations to use for yarn and shipping. I wish they would ban that vaccine. They made it mandatory in Rhode island. I heard. I feel so bad for the children. My Granddaughter also has paralysis and seizures because of the vaccine. It ruined her life but she is so good natured she keeps going and jokes around.Is money for the government that important to ruin the lives of the children? We need to get people to speak out and not sit back anymore. Worried Gramma

My daughter Shawn had the shots in 2008/2009. She was in the hospital 20 days later. She was not a minor so I was not aware, but after extensive study to find the real cause of her deformity and other health problems just didn’t sound right to me I asked her did you take gardasil. Yes was her response. I said well I don’t need to research anymore. I am doing everything I can to return her to the once very normal healthy girl she was. She has crippling effects. She has had to alter her work and life style. Her diet is very restricted. Merck should have notified all health professionals when the lawsuit occurred to look for certain signs of possible gardasil poisoning or side effect. My daughter wasn’t even informed of the vaccine court pay outs. She said she never related the two and neither did any doctor or hospital experience. I am happy she hasn’t died from this drug push on our children. She is well loved by her students, friends, employers and of course her mother. She still has a way to go, but if we can regain even 80% we are getting ahead. I reported to Merck. I am looking through all of her records. She is connecting everything in occurrence from each shot. I am sending a letter to everyone and anyone possible for resolve legal to change the limits of suit regarding gardasil. As a mother I am heart broken to know this happened to her. I am also concerned for other victims. If a gardasil recipient was a president’s daughter, congress or assembly daughter, merck’s daughter, Bill Gates daughter you can be sure laws would protect the victim and legal suit would be life long due to the nature of the side effects.
