Ministry should come clean on vaccine to stop cervical cancer
By Kamau Kanairu
Why is the Health ministry determined to continue promoting human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines yet they are turning out to be among the biggest medical hoaxes of all time?
Two months ago, the ministry launched an HPV vaccination project targeting school girls in Kitui, ostensibly to protect them against developing cervical cancer later in life.
However, Japan’s Health ministry withdrew support for the vaccines last month, citing serious adverse effects, including infertility, long-term pain, numbness and paralysis.
The ministry has also advised local authorities to stop promoting the vaccines, Gardasil and Cervarix, until more studies are conducted on their safety.
While Japan is categorical that it doesn’t trust Gardasil and Cervarix, our Health ministry says the HPV vaccines are safe and effective.
