REBUTTAL OF BMJ LANCET PAPER WAKEFIELD FRAUD CLAIMS – NAA UK NEWS RELEASE

The following powerful rebuttal of British Medical Journal allegations that Dr Andrew Wakefield falsified research in a paper published in The Lancet Medical journal in 1998 was issued by the US National Autism Association in a news release exclusively for the UK media.

The BMJ claim results were faked so Dr Wakefiled could suggest a link between vaccines, autistic conditions and bowel disease in children

NAA argue that if the results were faked how is it that now:-

* US Government health officials have admitted vaccines [and not just the MMR vaccine] cause autistic conditions;
* the US Federal Court has order substantial compensation for children whose autistic conditions were caused by vaccines;
* papers published independently in mainstream leading medical journals confirm, just as Dr Wakefield found in 1998, that autistic children suffer serious bowel disease when their non autistic contemporaries do not.

When medicines come onto the market, we have relatively limited information about their safety from clinical trials in the UK. These trials generally involve only small numbers of eligible patients who take the medicine for a relatively short period of time. Therefore, patients in clinical trials may not be fully representative of those who will use the medicine when it is marketed.

Research claims published in medical journals can turn out to be exaggerated, misleading and wrong.

I USUALLY avoid reading health supplements in newspapers as they are full of contradictory guff and puff about what is supposed to be good or bad for you.

The puff emanates from drug companies exaggerating the supposed benefits of their products and the guff from PR companies promoting cosmetics or “food as medicine” style products. Governments and health agencies get in on the act too and over-emphasise certain research results to promote public health.

It is unfortunate to note the number of women who have been injured or even died after a Gardasil vaccination. Parents of these young girls as young as nine years of age around the world have begged for change, and for hope in the battle against the vaccine that is so dangerous. Each year, thousands of adverse events are reported to databases around the world regarding this shot–ranging from fainting, weakness, Guillain Barre Syndrome, comas, seizures and even death . The side effects are less than mild.

Kenya: Early Tests Can Reduce Cervical Cancer Deaths

Nairobi — As the year ends tonight, almost 2,000 women will have died from cervical cancer in the last 12 months.

Cervical cancer, mainly caused by a sexually transmitted virus, attacks some 2,454 women annually but only about 700 survive.

While breast cancer leads in newly diagnosed cases annually, it has higher survival rates compared to cancer of the cervix, a year-end review reveals.
