“My daughter, Victoria, has been ill since February 2008. She had her first Gardasil vaccination November 2007. Her second vaccination was in the beginning of February 2008. Immediately after her second vaccination, Victoria experienced severe diarrhea, vomiting and was nauseous for about eight weeks. Hundreds of people, mostly parents of autistic children, some with their children, met at The Temple tube station on the Embankment. Key people attended who have worked tirelessly for years to open the eyes of the Government. Allison Edwards brilliantly organised every detail of this very important event. Leading the way to Richmond House and Downing Street then Trafalgar Square were Scottish pipers. The rain held off for the walk, then the skies darkened and the heavens opened at various points during the hour of talks in Trafalgar Square but nothing could stop the speakers from getting their message across. The whole event was deeply moving.

News in from the UK government. Last night ministers and senior government advisers ruled against the flu vaccine for children under five. Their decision was made despite the current flu epidemic in the UK.
Reports say that 39 people have died from flu since October, four of these were under the age of five.

The rate of prescription drug use among children and teens continues to rise, with a new report from Medco Health Solutions Inc. saying that at least a quarter of all U.S. children are now regularly taking pharmaceutical drugs. And according to the report, many of these drugs were originally intended for adults, and carry with them unknown side effects for long-term use in young people.
