According to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) and Web Md, there have been a higher than usual number of febrile seizures reported to the system. The VAERS, which was created as a method of collecting suspected vaccine reaction related data can be used by both physicians and the general public to report any side effects. The system helps governing agencies like the FDA and the CDC inspect trends and investigate serious issues. Often the VAERS is misused and ineffective when reporters fail to leave enough data for individual cases to be investigated. Any symptoms may be reported, some of the most commonly reported event include fever and body aches, or more serious reactions like seizures, fainting, coma and death.
